Welcome to my corner of the web! My name is Jamie Nichole Phillips, and I’m delighted to share my journey with you. Born on June 30th, 1986, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, i have 3 brothers and 2 sisters making me 2nd to the youngest.i have spent alot of my life moving between Lake of the Ozarks living in Edward's Missouri and attending school at Climax Springs school district to moving to the city and living in different cities and attending many different schools throughout the kansas city area, creating a rich tapestry of experiences and memories. I am a proud single mother to my incredible son, Tyler Nathaniel Burl Carnahan, who is 11 years old. His diagnosis of autism at the age of three opened my eyes to a world filled with challenges and inspirations. Navigating this journey together has sparked a deep desire within me to express my experiences and emotions through the art of poetry, and words of wisdom through my blogs. As an empath, I have always felt the emotions of those around me quite profoundly. This sensitivity has driven my lifelong mission to help others in their mental, emotional, and physical battles. Throughout my life, I have faced my own set of adversities, including struggles with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and severe addiction. A significant catalyst for my advocacy work came from a profound personal tragedy. I lost my beautiful niece, Amanda Marie Phillips, on December 15th, 2020, to an act of violence when the man she loved shot her and took her life. This heartbreaking loss has intensified my commitment to raising awareness about mental health and the urgent need to address violence. It is crucial to understand that getting help, both for ourselves and for others, can prevent tragedies and save lives. When we navigate the complexities of mental health and addiction, we often find ourselves accepting negative influences that can further harm our well-being. In addition to the loss of my niece, I continue to grapple with immense grief following the passing of my amazing beautiful mother, Sharon Marie Phillips, on June 17th, 2024. My mom was not just my mother; she was my best friend, my guide, and my light—everything to me. Life has not been the same without her, and I miss her every day. Her passing has deeply affected my mental health, and my writings help me process and navigate my pain, especially as I deal with the complexities that arise within my family following our immense losses. Losing both my mother and niece has profoundly impacted us, leading to conflict and misunderstandings. I hope my family knows that I love them deeply and that one day we can find our way back to one another. Writing is not only a passion but also a means of healing for me. Through the act of poetry and sharing words of wisdom through my blogs, I aim to uplift and inspire others. In addition to writing, I enjoy singing, which brings me joy and offers a creative outlet. I also have a keen interest in numerology and astrology, exploring the connections those systems provide to understanding ourselves and our journeys. Furthermore, I offer tarot and oracle card readings, aiming to guide others in their personal and spiritual growth. Through my poetry and blog articles, I explore themes of mental health, addiction, and love, drawing from my personal experiences and insights. I aim to shine a light on the struggles that many face, creating a sense of community and reminding my readers that they are not alone. My work is dedicated to uplifting spirits, providing hope, and encouraging others to embrace their journeys and seek help. If you feel moved to support my work and the journey I share with my son, any donations would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity will go towards helping me and my son navigate our lives and continue this journey together. In addition to my writing, I am committed to advocating for awareness and understanding surrounding mental health and violence. I believe that by sharing our stories, we foster connection and empathy within our communities. Thank you for visiting my website and allowing me to share my story with you. I hope my words resonate and inspire you in your own journey.
